OMG OMG OMG. Debt free!

You!
We got Ray's 3 month severance plus like some sort of paycheck for something or other. I don't remember how exactly his severance is working. Ray called him this morning and was like "Have you checked our bank account?" Wow. i don't think I have ever seen that much money at once before! I got all butterflies in my stomach.

So I sat down this morning and paid the remainder of our bills except the two cars off. We have enough left over that we could pay the truck off and only have my car payment, but we're not sure we want to do that yet. Since we won't have enough time to talk about it tonight, I dumped the remaining money in savings and we'll talk about it tomorrow night.

So besides the cars and the recurring payments like cable, water, rent, etc.. we have no more CC type debts! This is wonderful. It was weird paying so much debt off at once, like the amount of money I paid was insane. Oh, and one of the debts paid was a loan we took out against our own savings account years ago! So I essentially just paid myself back.. we have that money in savings again.

This is so freeing.

Trevor is marching around the house wearing his cub scout hat, a pink sparkly scarf around his waist and brandishing an iced tea spoon. He came up to me and said triumphantly "*I* am.... bucklebelt man!!!!" We have speech today but no more gymnastics until January. I plan on doing mass quantities of studying today, rather like yesterday. The amount of stuff we need to know is ridiculous. My only problem with both my history distance courses has been the fact we only have two tests. When I read the chapter, I have usually 4 key terms to define and two questions to answer, on top of any assignments I have had. I have roughly 30 definitions, like 10 or 12 questions to know spanning like the Unification of Italy and Germany, Scramble for Africa, WWI and WWII, Cold War and the Berlin wall coming down. It's a freakin lot to know for one test that isn't multiple choice! It stresses out because, while I will have to know ALL these terms and questions and where everything is on the map, I will only be asked to answer 5 of the key terms (choice of 10 to answer), 1 of the questions from a choice of two, and ten of the 25 map items.

Will I remember any of this beyond the test? No. No I won't. I wish the test was multiple choice. I am going for a C. I have to make a C on the test to pass the class, no matter what my grade is in the class (which is either a low A or high B). I REALLY don't want to take history again. Bleh.

But the paying the debt thing makes me happy. heh
